ABOUT Angelia

Angelia Pressley is an environmental sustainability consultant and professor at Clark Atlanta University's School of Business. As an entrepreneur for over 20 years, Pressley has focused the past 10 years advocating for renewable energy jobs, representing clean waste and recycling solutions, promoting eco-tourism and facilitating community engagement. She uses her work experience to teach business communication, retailing and marketing management courses at the undergraduate level.

Angelia is a Board member for Wellstar Cobb Hospital, Keep Cobb Beautiful, Kiwanis of Club of Greater South Cobb and Friends of the Historic Concord Covered Bridge in Cobb County. Her hobbies include cycling, hiking and traveling. She is a follower of the Christian faith.

Angelia's reason for running for the Georgia Public Service Commission:

"Inflation is increasingly making it difficult for Georgians to live sustainably. Rising energy costs burden low and moderate-income residents at alarming rates. Last year over 240,000 ratepayers lost power due to their inability to pay. A familiar face on the commission will be useful in listening and understanding the challenges of those who are ill-equipped to handle rate increases. I can offer a moderate approach and advocate for efficient, reliable and cost-effective energy that is fair and good for all."
